The Albertsons grocery store near my house has recently undergone a remodel.  Some of the new signage is… a bit puzzling.

Juice Let me be honest, here. I think there’s way too many categories of “juice” on this sign. I’m not entirely comfortable having to think about whether or not I want my juice to be “aseptic” or not.

Foil Gravy

Sign guy, you got this concept correct over on the “Rice & Beans” placard.  While another ampersand might have looked, I dunno, “cluttered” on the sign, maybe you should have taken that trade-off.

New Age Beverage

I really want to know the thought process that went on for this particular bit of signage because I can’t come up with one that makes a lick of sense.

HABA-what?

I’m going to avoid picking on the obviously missing apostrophe (at least I assume it’s an apostrophe missing there and not another ampersand – I’m not sure what the shelf-life is like on a Kid).  Instead, I’m forced to wonder what on Earth “HABA” is the start of.  I think I’ve got a pretty decent vocabulary and play a mean game of Scrabble, but I’m stumped on that one.

Professional Shampoo

Less is more, Sign Guy, Less is more.

GM Food Storage

General Motors?  Genetically Modified?  General Manager?  Also: why separate “BEER” from “PICNIC SUPPLIES”?  I’d think it’d be perfectly clear where to find my beer – the Picnic Supplies aisle!

It might be puzzling but I’m finding it really funny.

LOL! Thank you for taking pictures…I needed a laugh. I love the empty space on that last shot right next to the one that the sign guy managed to fit THREE words on…

I’d be interested to know if A) anyone noticed you taking pictures and B) if any of these signs change anytime soon!

It was kind of late – 9pm or so – so the store was fairly empty. I’m sure some customers noticed, but I don’t recall if I saw any employees walking the aisles.
