Well, that’s 3 months to be back on my feet and sort of mobile. In all reality:

a) It’s going to take a lot longer than that to be at a decent movement level – well over a year before I’m back to 95% of what I should be.

b) That leaves me about 100% useless for the crapton of running around that Lia and I have to do in the immediate now in order to get a wedding together. That is stress that we don’t need.

I’ll probably try to get the arthroscopic parts done in April since I’ll be immediately mobile during that recovery period and then put the reconstructive stuff off until next year.

That’s only 12 weeks-3 months-and if you are thinking about moving it back to October or late Sept., you could probably do it now and get it over with.

That’s a heck of a prize, there! It’s not entirely what we were thinking (we’re going more mountainy) but I’ll add it to the possibilities pile.

a) If you happen to lean toward Sunset Event Center, I won a free room rental for my reception (worth $2000) but I’m going with a different location. In another week or so (once the other location is confirmed) I’m going to tell Sunset “no thanks” but if you’re interested, I can see if they’ll let me transfer it to you. If not, no pressure. I just hate the idea of wasting a freebie.

b) I’ll restate my vote — not August 28th, so we don’t have competing weddings.
